The Iranian Air Force has planes operating from a forward airbase, to help their air assets in the area, Iraqi air force command has launched a mission to destroy the airfield.

The Plan
The AAA defenses will provide decent protection, the Tomcats will arrive on turn one and can cause some concern for iraqi forces. The F-5s will start on the airfield and take off on turn two, with the Phantoms arriving later in the game.

The Plan
The Su-20s with a MiG-21 escort will arrive first, the Sukhois job is to eliminate any radars, one mig has bombs for a chance oppotunity target but their job is to provide air cover.
The Tu-16s will arrive later to carpet bomb the airfield, they are escorted by a trio of MiG-23s which are to engage any air targets they find.
Turn 1: Both Su-20s and both MiG-21s arrive at altitude 3
Turn 3: Both Tu-16s and all the MiG-23s arrive at altitude 4
Set up
TURN 1
The first Iraqi strike arrives, two MiG-21's escorting the SU-20's, the Sukhois drop altitude a little ready for the attack run.
Two Iranian F-14's also arrive.
TURN 2
The two MiG-21's establish locks on the F-14's While the Sukhois each fire a Kh-28 missile, one heading for the early warning radar while another heads for a SAM guildance radar.
The F-14's establish locks on the Sukhois and fire off AIM-7E-4 missiles.
The two F-5's on the runway take off, two HAWK SAM missiles take to the air tracking the MiG's.
TURN 3
Dhari Madi tries to out climb the SAM missile in his MiG but fails, he ejects before the plane is blown in two.
Ramzy Hantous tries the same, he is more successful but shrapnel penetrates the canopy wounding him.The first AIM-7E-4 hits its target, Athar Attieh fails to spot the incoming missile, its impact causes a fuel leak, Attieh breaks off and heads back to Iraqi airspace.
The second Sukhoi tries to evade the missile but is destroyed, Risan Aati manages to eject.
The two F-5s come around, as the second Iraqi strike group arrives.
Ramzy Hantous heads over the airfield, he is hit by some AA fire that does little damage, but a SAM streaks up and blows the whole rear of his MiG apart, he ejects.
TURN 4
The first Kh-28 Missile finally hits the SAM radar.
Both the F-5's start to climb and open up their after burners, the two F-14's perform a Split-S.
The Iraqi strike group drop their payload, and a total of 72 bombs devastate the airfield.
Some AA fire hits with little effect, but a SAM blows a MiG-23 out of the sky, and Adeep Cridi goes down with his plane.
TURN 5
The Strike group Carrie's on its heading and start to climb, one of F-14's manage to acquire a lock on the trailing Tu-16 but its last AIM-7E-4 fails to launch.
The last Kh-28 finally hits and destroys the early warning radar.
TURN 6
The Iraqi strike group RTB's, their mission achieved, the two Iranian F-14's also RTB due to low fuel as the Phantoms arrive.
Aftermath
Pretty solid result for the Iraqi's as they hit the airfield hard! But they did take a bit of beating themselves.
